Kari grew up in southern Oregon, spent several years on the east coast where she graduated from the University of Baltimore, and returned to the Rogue Valley in 2003. Since then she has worked in development for local non-profit organizations, including Providence Community Health Foundation, and more recently Southern Oregon Public Television. In addition to working and volunteering to support local non-profits, Kari enjoys a variety of activities with her two children and her newly blended family.
Kari is excited to be a part of the Help Now! team and she is looking forward to working with us to develop community engagement activities and fundraising programs that will support the critical work of the organization and the increasing demand for services. She states that "Help Now! Advocacy Center is a unique organization with an important mission. In this struggling economy, many people are experiencing crises, and fewer resources are available to help those most desperately in need of services. Help Now! provides immediate support, creative and effective solutions, and hope. It is an honor to work with a dedicated leader and talented staff and volunteers who are truly committed to advocating for the most vulnerable citizens in our community."
